UNIQUE SELLING POINTS OF THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES
Steeped in history, the Palace of Versailles is an impressive residence which was initially a humble hunting lodge before being transitioned into a chateau. Built by French royalty, King Louis XII, who erected the chateau as a hunting cabin after repeatedly enjoying the hunting and the land. This early iteration of the castle was unlike how it stands today, with the original building being described as modest.
The Palace of Versailles is the embodiment of Baroque-style architecture. Intricate and sophisticated engravings in masonry decorate the exterior of the palace. Whilst the interior adorns furnishings which harp back to Louis XIV, festooned with extravagant period piece furnishings.
This venue is most compatible with a traditional, regency, art deco or romantic style of wedding, it’s innate glamour and charm perfectly complements these highly detailed, romantic types of weddings.
The palace became the main home of French regents such as Marie Antoinette and King Louis XIV. Hosting an event in the Palace allows attendants to celebrate like the historically elite. More so, Marie Antoinette was married to Louis XVI in the chapel on the grounds.
The many gardens of Versailles provide ample options for places to host an event, explore, or have photography done.
