The Battersea Arts Centre is a marvellous historic space, designed in 1893 as the original Battersea Town Hall, which later transitioned in 1974 to the Battersea Community and Arts Centre. Conceptualised by E.W. Mountford, the Battersea Arts Centre is an incredible relic, a Grade II-listed building. Its history has depth politically, with the suffragette movement being a hub for the Labour Party for a short time.

Its historic notability is what sets it apart from other venues- after tragically facing a fire in 2017, the space has been accustomed to ongoing restorations, ensuring the remaining incredible architectural elements are preserved and accentuated through the use of contemporary elements.

Architectural intervention has seen continuous projects with architects from Haworth and Tompkins. Transforming the space to suit the many artists that occupy the environment. Utilising the existing historic features and enhancing them by combining art and construction to deliver breathtaking structures.

The feature ceiling perfectly juxtaposes the Pompeian quality walls, which record the incredible and enduring history of the venue.

The Octagonal Hall and Grand Hall Suite have a private entrance, allowing privacy for the event.

The Grand Hall Suite

The Grand Hall Suite is an absolutely incredible space; its design is truly spectacular, from the incredible feature ceiling to the fantastic organ pipes on the mezzanine, capturing the sunlight and decorating the space beautifully.

This space has so many incredible features, the hall provides ample space to host events, with slight variation in capacity depending on the configuration of the space. With the capacity to host a wedding of 350 guests.
